TMJ Dysfunction

The Temporomandibular Joint, or “Jaw Joint”, acts as a sliding hinge, connecting your jaw to your skull.

Problems in this joint can present as headaches or pain and tenderness in the front of your ear or in the facial muscles associated with chewing.  It can also cause a clicking or popping within the joint.  Most of the time these issues can be treated through conservative therapy, however, every case is unique therefore requiring a detailed examination and a customized treatment plan that can include coordination with other medical specialists.
